ANA FERNANDEZ ESPINOSA

Psychodrama practitioner (AEP member) and psychotherapist (FEAP member)

Affiliated teacher of the Masters in Applied Theatre course at the University of Valencia and of the Masters in Adoption and Foster Care course at the University of Bilbao. Accredited Playback Theatre trainer (from 2017). Co-director of the Iberian School of Playback Theatre. 

Before turning to Playback Theatre, Ana was already working as a psychodramatist. In 2006, she began to practice Teatro Espontaneo, which led to the founding of the company Entrespejos. She trained with renowned Latin American teachers Marilén Garvelli and Rafáel Pérez and others, and in this new learning about theatre and life, she made a conscious decision to develop her skills in Playback Theatre. Ana went on to study with established practitioners such as Jonathan Fox (in 2015 and 2017), Jo Salas (2015), Hanna Fox (2017), and Olga Sanachina (2014 and 2016).

She is also a co-founder of the School of Improvised Psycho- and Sociodrama in Castilha and León.

​Tomás has carried out research on the reflections of audience members following a Playback Theatre performance – published in Applied Theatre Research 4 (1), 21-39; Razón y Palabra 20(1_92): 639-672 y Razón y palabra 92, 25-34.

AVIVA APEL-ROSENTHAL

Co-founder and teacher of the Israeli Playback Theatre School (from 2001)

Past president of the International Playback Theatre Network (2006-2011)

Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer (from 2014) and Leadership Course Trainer

 

​Aviva is also a professional theatre actor and director, and a drama teacher.  She has taught Playback for more than 25 years, in 24 different countries.
As a full time Playback Theatre practitioner, she conducts over 150 performances and workshops every year, at artistic, therapeutic and social events.

JOSÉ RAMOS MARQUES

BA in Performing Arts (Theatre), University of Western Sydney

Founder and Artistic Director of Teatro Imediato, Lisbon (from 2007)

Diploma in Playback Theatre (2012)

Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer (from 2018)

José was a lawyer in Australia before turning to theatre in the early 90s. He worked as an actor, writer, teacher and director, mainly in the city of Canberra. In 2005, he had his first contact with Playback Theatre, becoming a member of the  Canberra Playback Theatre Company.

In 2006, he returned to his country of birth (Portugal). He had a brief stint with the Theatre of the Oppressed Company of Lisbon and then  co-founded the first Portuguese Playback Theatre group. He continues to participate in the Company as an actor, conductor and trainer.

ANTÓNIO VICENTE

Masters in Theatre (Community Theatre), Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (ESTC), Lisbon

Founder (2007) and Director of Teatro Imediato (from 2016), Lisbon

Diploma in Playback Theatre (2017), Co-director of the Iberian School of Playback Theatre. 

António was born and grew up in an interior region of Portugal known as the Alentejo. He now lives in the city of Lisbon where he works as a performer, theatre facilitator and trainer in various community theatre projects.

Above all, he cherishes the beauty and magic of human relations. He is not only a fan but also an ardent practitioner of Playback Theatre. He became a member of the International Playback Theatre Network in 2013 and in 2018 became a member of its executive board.

HENAR ESTEBAN MARINERO

Assistant trainer in Playback Theatre

Social educator

Henar has worked with street people (2 years) and youth (for more than 10 years).

She is a member of the theatre group Zereia, in Cuella (Segovia), where she has worked with Nuria Aguado and Alfonso Romera. In 2013, she joined the Playback Theatre Company Entrespejos, where she has studied under the direction of Ana Fernandez Espinosa.

She is also currently studying at the Escuela de Psicosociodrama Impromptu de Castilla y Leon (a Psychodrama/Sociodrama school) and is using Playback to work with mental illness patients at the FEAFES Association in Salamanca.
